Skill is very important in the life of every human being. The why some technician earn more than some university graduate is because the technicians acquired more practical skill than the theories unlike the graduates who were fed with the theories while in the school.
Skill acquisition is the ability to be trained on a particular task or function and become expert in it.
Today, there are so many unemployed graduates in the country. This is partly as a result of our long system of education that is more of theories /grammar and not of practical learning.
The Mirian Pat Foundation has been well known for her humanitarian work in the past, thus embarking on different programs, reaching out to people and touching lives in different ways to make our society a better place to be. Mirian Pat Foundation in collaboration with Avandi care Initiative organized a 5 days program on skill acquisition and trained ten (10) students from Mabuchi community FCT Abuja. The training was based on three different skills i.e Liquid Soap, Vaseline and Bleach. The training started on 25th May, 2020 and lasted for 5 days.
