Mirian Pat Foundation YANGOJI REPORT

The Mirian Pat Foundation in collaboration with Olumobi Foundation and Social Welfare Service Department (SWSD’s) as Host on  16th-May-2019 visited Yangoji community in FCT Abuja, on an outreach to demonstrate her humanitarian gestures to the people of the area who have suffered series of social neglect leading to devastation, poverty, poor infrastructures, and lack of basic social amenities.

This Populated settlement of over 3,000 inhabitants is characterized by low-key buildings and dominated by people who are said to have been cured of leprosy, typically living poor and vulnerable.

There in Yangoji community, Mirian Pat Foundation in collaboration with the aforementioned organizations carried out series of tests such as malaria, high blood pressure, Hepatitis and HIV tests after which free medications where been given to them.

Mirian Pat Foundation donated welfare materials which include clothing materials, food stuffs, mosquito nets, and malaria drugs to the people of Yangoji community to give them a sense of belonging.

 “Overcoming poverty and sickness is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice. All these can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings”.
