The Mirian Pat Foundation is pleased to announce that it has established a formidable partnership with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunity, towards the implementation of its numerous programmes and projects in its 4-Year Strategic Intervention Plan, with special focus on the implementation, promotion and protection of the rights of persons with disabilities in Nigeria.
This partnership is a huge impetus to the success of our oncoming Maiden National Disability Accessibility Summit, which we are organizing in line with our theme for 2024, “Promoting and Protecting the Rights of Persons with Disabilities”.
The proposed summit, which hopes to bring together relevant stakeholders from within and outside Nigeria possessing consummate skills and expertise on disability issues, is part of our conscious efforts to educate, sensitize and engage stakeholders on the best approaches towards ensuring the full implementation and enforcement of the Discrimination Against Persons With Disabilities (Prohibition) Act 2018.
