Empowering women is very necessary for many times when faced with challenges, women do not know where to turn; especially in Nigeria where the economic situation remains worrisome. Women wouldn’t feel equally important to the process of development as men. Thus, it is widely believed that, the full participation of both men and women is essential for development.
In a bid to address some of these challenges faced by these women as they lack funds/sources of income to help themselves, the Mirian Pat Foundation took its empowerment scheme to karon Majigi community, to empower the women of the community on different skills ranging from soap making, Vaseline, Detergent etc. the foundation also empowered them, giving them raw materials and other necessities to start up.
