Mirian Pat Foundation (MF) is duely registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission with registration Number (RC: 114143) , the foundation Was established in Nigeria with the aim of making education accessible to less opportuned children, capacity building and skill acquisition for vulnerable women and people living with disability. In a bid to support sustainable development goals the Mirian Foundation implements its projects through sensitisation, community awareness, vocational skill acquisitions, as well as advocacy to states and federal government.

Our Strategies/ action plans:Our strategies for executing our numerous programs and activities consist primarily of the followings:

  • We Initiate, implement and evaluate programs and services for People with Disabilities (PWDs).
  • Conducting Trainings, Public Enlightenment, Seminars, Workshops and Information Dissemination on programs related to People with Disabilities (PWDs).
  • Conduct Trainings, Seminars and Workshops on People with Disabilities (PWDs); as it relates to good governance, gender and other related issues.
  • Initiate and promote advocacy on prison reforms, gender and other People with Disabilities (PWDs); issues;
  • Collaborate and build networks with Local, National and International Agencies and Organizations on programming services for the enhancement of People with Disabilities (PWDs) especially among the Aged and Females.
  • We also conduct periodic and Operational Research on People with Disabilities (PWDs).
  • Participate in workshops either for capacity building or as Facilitators to step down expertise we may have gained at Local, national or International Levels.

Our Actions plans are briefly stated hereunder;

  1. Assisting the populace to realize and appreciate the difficult tasks of taking care of the People with Disabilities(PWDs) to enable them cooperate with us and others who are concurring in the care and support of the People with Disabilities(PWDs)in our society. Strengthening professionalism, promote love and the rule of ethics that is devoid of selfishness.
  2. Integrating Special PWD Education fully into the lives of our people, so that the high incidence of intolerance, ethnic/cultural obstacles, violence and torture of the PWDs are eventually eliminated.
  3. Encouraging the politicians to have the right attitude towards the People with Disabilities (PWDs). Organizing Workshops and Seminars wherein, Marian Charity Foundation would be represented either as facilitators and/or as participants at Seminars/Workshops that are consistent with our areas of interest. The aforementioned will be done in partnership with Community-Based Organizations. The Centers will have accommodations to cater for attendees at the Skill acquisition programs especially for the widows who will better assimilate if the stress of going back daily is removed, the Home for the Aged will also be an integral part of the Centers.
